Junior applicator / sealant applicator
You bring the motivation. We will teach you the trade.
Do you like working with your hands and would you like to learn something you can really use? At Stevig Kitwerk we are always looking for new colleagues who feel like getting stuck in. Experience, qualifications or a long CV? Not needed. If you want to learn, we will help you on your way.
The work
What will you be doing?
You head out with an experienced colleague and learn the sealing trade step by step. From preparing the substrate to applying sealant joints and finishing them off tight. You will work on bathrooms, kitchens, skirtings and junctions on construction and renovation projects.
At the start you watch and lend a hand. After that you pick up more and more yourself. You get the room to ask questions, to practise and to grow into an applicator who works on their own. And at the end of the day? You can see exactly what you have made.
Who
Who are we looking for?
Someone who feels like working and learning the trade. That is our starting point. You do not have to be able to do everything yet; that is what we are here for.
We like it when you keep to what you have agreed, think along and help your colleagues. And above all you can be yourself. We are all for working neatly, but also for a bit of banter along the way. You are allowed to laugh here.
What you get
What do you get from us?
- A salary that we agree with you clearly up front.
- Personal guidance from an experienced colleague.
- Good tools, workwear and the right protective equipment.
- Varied work at different sites.
- The chance to grow into a fully independent applicator.
- Room to learn, including when something does not go right first time.
Still to be filled in: gross hourly rate from/to for a junior applicator
Driving licence and VCA
No driving licence or VCA certificate yet?
Do not let that stop you from applying. We can invest in your driving licence and your VCA safety certificate, by agreement.
Working safely is part of Stevig. A VCA certificate (the Dutch safety, health and environment checklist for contractors) is therefore needed for the work, but you do not have to have it to apply. We will talk through how you can gain it, so that you can start the job well prepared and safely.
Apply
It is that simple
You message or e-mail us
No cover letter needed, no CV required. Just tell us what you do and where you are from.
We reply
Within one working day. You will then hear straight away whether there is work for you.
You come along for a day
As soon as a job is scheduled, you come along for a day. You see how we work, we see how you work.
We make clear arrangements
Does it feel right on both sides? Then we discuss your pay, working hours and how we will work together at our office. That way you know exactly where you stand.
Welcome to Team Stevig
You are part of the team from day one. New to the trade? We train you step by step to become an independent sealant applicator. Already have experience? Then you get the room to show your craftsmanship.
Hi! I saw that you are looking for sealant applicators. I am Daan from Utrecht and I am twenty years old. No experience applying sealant yet, but I really want to learn!
Hi Daan! Great that you messaged us 👋 You do not need experience to start with us, but you do need a healthy dose of motivation. Would you like to come along for a day to see if we click?
Great, sounds good! 👍
We have set aside a spot for you next Monday so you can spend a day working alongside our lads. If you give us your address, we will pick you up at 8:00 that day. The only thing you need to bring is some food and drink for yourself. If you like it, we can discuss the agreement at the office afterwards.
Brilliant! See you next Monday at 8:00. 😄
Can you only start in a few months?
Send us a message anyway. We are happy to talk to sealant applicators who know their trade, even if you are somewhere else right now and can only start in a few months. To be honest: whether there is work for you then depends on what comes in.
Do you already know the trade? Then have a look at the vacancy for senior applicator / sealant applicator.
