Can you lay a crisp sealant joint, or do you want to learn? Then we are looking for you. We like people who get stuck in, with an eye for detail and a sense of humour. A bit of banter along the way? Gladly, as long as your sealant lines stay crisp.

The trade
What we look out for
If you already know this, you will know straight away what we are talking about. If you do not, this is what you will learn with us.
Two flanks, no bottom
A sealant joint bonds on two sides. If it bonds to the bottom as well, the middle can no longer stretch and the joint tears. That is why a backing rod or bond breaker tape goes in behind it, and why the sealant is thinner in the middle than at the flanks.
The substrate determines the sealant
Concrete, glazed tiling, natural stone, plastic and powder-coated aluminium all five ask for something different. Acetoxy silicones do not go on natural stone, zinc, copper or a mirror. Edge staining on natural stone can never be removed again, and polishing does not help.
Adhesive or cohesive
If a joint comes away along the flank, that is called adhesive failure and the fault lies in the preparation. If it tears down the middle, it is cohesive: the joint has been designed too narrow and filling it again solves nothing. We want you to see that difference and to say so.

It is that simple

No cover letter needed, no CV required. Just tell us what you do and where you are from.

You come along for a day
As soon as a job is scheduled, you come along for a day. You see how we work, we see how you work.
We make clear arrangements
Does it feel right on both sides? Then we discuss your pay, working hours and how we will work together at our office. That way you know exactly where you stand.
Welcome to Team Stevig
You are part of the team from day one. New to the trade? We train you step by step to become an independent sealant applicator. Already have experience? Then you get the room to show your craftsmanship.
Hi! I saw that you are looking for sealant applicators. I am Daan from Utrecht and I am twenty years old. No experience applying sealant yet, but I really want to learn!
Hi Daan! Great that you messaged us 👋 You do not need experience to start with us, but you do need a healthy dose of motivation. Would you like to come along for a day to see if we click?
Great, sounds good! 👍
We have set aside a spot for you next Monday so you can spend a day working alongside our lads. If you give us your address, we will pick you up at 8:00 that day. The only thing you need to bring is some food and drink for yourself. If you like it, we can discuss the agreement at the office afterwards.
Brilliant! See you next Monday at 8:00. 😄
Can you only start in a few months?
Send us a message anyway. We are happy to talk to sealant applicators who know their trade, even if you are somewhere else right now and can only start in a few months. To be honest: whether there is work for you then depends on what comes in.
