For painting contractors
Your painters paint. We seal.
Sealant work is the item in almost every painting quote that almost never reaches a specialist. We take it on: same scaffolding, same schedule, a different person with the sealant gun.

The problem
Sound familiar?
Sealant work takes longer than budgeted
Cutting out old sealant is slower than everyone thinks. Two days of sealant work turn into four, and that comes straight off your margin.
The paint cracks at the joint
Paint does not adhere to silicone sealant. If it is painted over anyway, you will see small cracks within one season and the coat pulls away. That comes back to you, not to the sealant applicator.
Your painters do not enjoy it
A good painter wants to paint. Sealant work is the little job left over at the end of the day, and that shows in the result.
Our approach
What we do differently
The right sealant under the paint
If it has to be painted over, no silicone sealant goes in there. That means an acrylic or a paintable hybrid, applied and smoothed off so the paint runs tightly over it. Where nothing is painted, we choose on movement and substrate instead of on habit.
A joint to measure, not smeared shut
A joint that is filled too deep adheres on three sides and cracks at the first movement. We put a backing rod in and keep to the ratio between width and depth that the manufacturer prescribes. That is the difference between two years and ten years.
We come along with the scaffolding
If the scaffolding is up anyway, we seal in the same round. That saves you putting it up a second time and your client a second round of disruption.
Useful to know
Sealant in the long-term maintenance plan (MJOP)
Sealant work on the building envelope is periodic maintenance, just like the painting itself. Put it in your quote or in the long-term plan as a separate line, and for your client it becomes an understandable item instead of a surprise.
We supply the price per metre for each joint type, so you can carry it over without doing any sums.
Working together
How it works with you
You pass the job on
Photos of the facade or the specification. An address with "take a look yourself" works too, if it is nearby.
Price per metre within 15 minutes
Per joint type, with tiered rates. You add your own mark-up and pass it on to your customer.
We come as your sealant applicator
By arrangement in workwear without a logo, or simply as Stevig. Your customer stays your customer, and we never approach them ourselves.
Videos at handover
So you can show what has been done, without driving over there yourself.
Important
Old sealant in buildings from before 1994
Sealant joints in older window frames may contain asbestos. If we suspect that, we cut nothing out and we report it to you. Investigation and any removal belong with a certified company, not with a sealant applicator holding a knife. That is not us being soft: it saves you a problem that costs many times the whole sealant item.
