Who
Who processes your data
Stevig Kitwerk, a trading name of Stevig Vastgoedonderhoud, Parelmoervlinder 26 in Utrecht, Dutch Chamber of Commerce number 77717244. You can reach us on 085 - 06 07 222 and at info@stevigkitwerk.nl.
What
Which data and why
If you request a quotation
We process your name, telephone number, e-mail address, your company name if you give one and the location of the work, plus whatever you write in the description yourself and the files you send with it. We need that to be able to handle your request and give you a price. Legal basis: performance of a contract or steps taken before entering into one.
If you call, e-mail or send a WhatsApp message
Then we process what you tell us and your telephone number or e-mail address, so that we can answer your question.
If you use the chat
The chat on this site is an AI assistant, not a member of staff; it says so in its first sentence. It asks what needs sealing, where, roughly when, and your name, telephone number and, if you give them, your e-mail address and company name. What you type is read by a language model from Microsoft (Azure OpenAI) running in Sweden, and the conversation is kept in a Microsoft database in Sweden, so that we can read it and a colleague can take over. The model is not trained on what you type. Legal basis: steps taken before entering into a contract. Would you rather not use an AI? Type 'medewerker', the Dutch word for a member of staff, and a colleague takes over the conversation. You can also call 085 - 06 07 222.
If you message us on WhatsApp
On WhatsApp the same AI assistant answers as in the chat on this site, with the same questions; it says so in its first message. It chats in Dutch. We receive your WhatsApp number and the name from your WhatsApp profile. We do not simply take that name over: the assistant first asks whether it is also your name. Your messages and photos reach us through WhatsApp and through Twilio, and are then read and kept in the same way as a conversation in the chat. Legal basis: steps taken before entering into a contract. Would you rather not use an AI? Type 'medewerker', or call 085 - 06 07 222.
If we carry out a job for you
Then the address of the work, photos and videos of the joints we have done and the invoicing details are added. We make those images for the handover file and so that we can judge what happened if a complaint comes in later.
Keeping
How long we keep it
- Requests that do not lead to a job: 12 months at most.
- Chat conversations that did not become a request: 6 months at most. If it did become a request, the term for that request applies.
- Photos and files sent with such a request: 12 months at most.
- Data on jobs carried out and invoices: 7 years, because the Dutch tax authority requires it.
- Photos and videos of work carried out: for as long as the guarantee period runs, plus the tax retention period for the invoice that goes with it.
Sharing
Who we share it with
We do not sell your data and we do not pass it on to lead platforms. We only share it where that is needed to carry out your job or because we have to: with our bookkeeper, with the self-employed tradespeople who carry out the work, and with the parties who provide our e-mail or storage.
Our e-mail and file storage run through TransIP B.V., a Dutch company based in Leiden, with storage inside the EU.
The chat on this site uses a language model and a database from Microsoft (Azure), both in Sweden, inside the EU. The website itself runs at Vercel, with the server functions in Frankfurt.
WhatsApp messages pass through two parties. WhatsApp Ireland Limited in Ireland provides WhatsApp itself, and passes data on to WhatsApp LLC and Meta Platforms, Inc. in the United States. Twilio Ireland Limited, 70 Sir John Rogerson's Quay, Dublin 2, Ireland, connects WhatsApp to our site, with Twilio Inc. in the United States as sub-processor. Your data may be processed outside the European Union in that process, on the basis of the adequacy decision for the United States and otherwise on the basis of the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
Rights
What you may do
You may ask which data we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, and object to the processing. To do so, e-mail info@stevigkitwerk.nl. You will hear from us within one working day and we will deal with it within a month.
If you and we cannot resolve it, you can lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
Cookies
Cookies and measuring
This website measures nothing unless you say yes to it. If you say nothing, or say no, we place one cookie, and it only remembers what you choose in the cookie bar. There is then no statistics package, no advertising script and no chat window belonging to another company.
If you say yes to statistics, we use Google Analytics 4 to see how many people visit the site and which pages they read. Two cookies are placed for that; on the cookie page they are named, with their retention period, and that is where you change or withdraw your choice.
The processor is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland, with Google LLC in the United States as a sub-processor. We have accepted Google's data processing terms. Your data may be processed outside the European Union, on the basis of the adequacy decision for the United States and otherwise on the basis of the European Commission's standard contractual clauses. We do not share data with Google for Google's own purposes.
The legal basis is your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR and Article 11.7a of the Dutch Telecommunications Act). You may withdraw it at any time, and that is as easy as giving it: the measurement data is then no longer collected and the two cookies are deleted. Google keeps the events for 14 months.
This is a translation of our Dutch privacy statement. If the two differ, the Dutch version applies.
